Requirements
Business Analyst Alpha Capture Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field is typically required. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) may be preferred or beneficial.
Proven experience in financial services, investment banking, asset management, or a related field, typically 3-5+ years.
Specific experience with alpha capture strategies, quantitative trading, or algorithmic trading is highly desirable.
Experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation in a financial markets context.
Familiarity with equity markets, trading strategies, financial instruments, and market data.
Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, SQL, Python, R, or MATLAB.
Knowledge of statistical analysis, quantitative modeling, and/or machine learning techniques relevant to alpha capture.
Familiarity with trading platforms, order management systems (OMS), and electronic trading systems.
Deep understanding of alpha capture strategies, including their objectives, methodologies, implementation, and evaluation.
Knowledge of financial derivatives, risk management principles, and portfolio management concepts.
Awareness of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards applicable to financial markets and trading activities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Experience in preparing comprehensive reports, presentations, and business cases related to alpha capture initiatives.
Ability to manage projects related to alpha capture, including defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
Experience in coordinating with cross-functional teams, including traders, quantitative analysts, IT professionals, and senior management.
